Roses
Roses have had a long history in the flower garden and it’s no wonder why. Offering both beauty and fragrance, they are an important part of any garden. Ranging from the miniature roses up to the large caned creepers, there is a rose suitable for just about anyone’s taste and anyone’s yard. While many of the modern hybrid tea and floribunda roses do require a certain amount of maintenance, others such as the rugosas and the species roses require practically none at all. A rose is a must. |
Bulbs
Bulbs, both tender and hardy, are a unique approach to packaging in the plant world. Contained within a bulb is the potential for an entire plant; roots, stems and flowers. While we usually think of the spring flowering plants such as tulips and daffodils when we hear the word bulb, in truth, there are bulbs that will flower in summer, fall and even a few that will bloom indoors in the winter. Bulbs can delight us in the early spring or offer us an exotic foliar effect or an impressive display of flowers throughout the rest of the growing season. |
